And to everyone? I don’t think you need to insult smokers’ intelligence by telling them that ZOMG SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU.

We know. We get it. What nonsmokers don’t understand is that people who smoke just don’t give a fuck. It’s just like any other “unhealthy” activity. Yeah, french fries will kill you, but that doesn’t stop me. Life sucks, and so few things bring me joy anymore. Let me have my goddamn cigarette and my french fries, and leave me the hell alone.

I am not going to say “smoking is cool.” But I can understand where that meme comes from. We americans have always romanticized dangerous, reckless types who, damn the torpedoes, go full speed ahead. I think it’s that Idon’tgiveafuck attitude that people find cool.

And, how many of you smoker-haters smoke doobs? Because I never see such anti-pot language here. But talk about cigarettes, and everyone’s up in arms. Pot will kill you too. So will alcohol. We can’t bubble tape the world, so let me have my cigarette without your lectures please. I’m an adult, and can make my own (bad) decisions.
